Community Involvement

We are proud of the strong links we have here at Weeting CE Primary School with our local community and St Mary's Church.  Weeting CE Primary is steeped in traditions and we endeavour to celebrate these throughout the school year.  Please look in our News and Events section to see examples of our community involvement.

Events that are coming up this year include:

Autumn Term

  • School Council elections
  • School Harvest Festival led by Mother Joan, St Mary's and Pastor Samuele, The Harvest Centre 
  • Remembrance Day Service led by Oak Class
  • Children in Need Fundraising Day
  • Launch of School's Charity of the Year
  • The Posada journey (Families take it in turn to host the Nativity characters)
  • Christmas Performances in school
  • Christmas Jumper Fundraising Day
  • Christingle and Carol service led by Mother Joan, Rev Juanita and Oak Class
  • Hosting games and creative activity stalls at the Friends of Weeting Christmas Fair
  • Year 6 Lunchtime Helpers appointed and support EYFS and KS1 lunchtimes

Spring Term

  • Ash Wednesday service led by Mother Joan and Rev Horan
  • Red Nose Fundraising Day
  • Bishop Steven's Lent Challenge
  • School Easter Service led by Mother Joan
  • Year 6 Lunchtime Helpers support EYFS and KS1 lunchtimes

Summer Term

  • Sports Day
  • Year 6 Leavers' Play and Worship
  • Year 6 Lunchtime Helpers support EYFS and KS1 lunchtimes
  • Year 6 Pilgrimage to Walsingham Shrine as part of transition to High school.
