Nature of support  2014/15

The Pupil Premium funding has been allocated in the following ways:

  • To provide provision teaching for children in year 6 to enable them to attain national expectations in maths and English.

  • To provide adult support for pupils in class

  • To provide training and CPD to support staff in provision of maths and English

  • To provide training for staff in the Thrive programme, to support pupils in emotional development

  • To purchase intervention activities and resources

Curriculum focus of PPG spending 2014/15

Objectives in spending PPG:

  1. To accelerate progress in reading, writing and maths, enabling year 6 pupils to narrow the gaps and reach national expectations
  2. To develop pupil’s key skills in maths and English
  3. To support a personalised curriculum for individual pupil premium children who cannot access the age expected curriculum.
  4. To help pupil’s learning through emotional development.

Measuring the impact of PPG spending

For our Free School Meal children at KS2 (cohort 8). The % of children making expected progress from their start point is::

87.5%  in reading

100%  in writing

62.5%  in maths

62.5%  in reading, writing and maths

50%  children made 3 levels progress in reading

25% children made 3 levels progress in writing
