Weeting

Acorn Class

Spring term

The children have settled in so well and we are all very proud of them.  It has been lovely to see them grow in confidence and independence over the last term.

Our topic had been ‘All about me’ so there was lots of measuring of hands, feet and heads! We also found out about different parts of the body. As part of the topic we also learned about the senses so there were plenty of activities linked to taste, sight, touch, smell and hearing. They especially enjoyed tasting the different popcorn and recording were their favourites.

This term our theme is ‘traditional stories’ so the children will listening to and writing their own versions using their phonic skills. We shall be having lots of role play and drama sessions as well as making power point stories.

Where possible we shall be linking our maths work to our theme.

We are also very lucky that Micha Chapman is coming in to teach dance with Acorn class until half term.
